What ever happened to the craftsmen of years past? Once upon a time, tradesmen would devote their lives to creating something with their bare hands. Cobblers would mix leather and sweat to provide a town with shoes. Blacksmiths would make horseshoes, pots, and knives using knowledge learned through lifetimes, flames kept alive for days, and their own work-hardened muscles. IT seems like a fairy-tale now, with over-industrialized production lines filled with foreign children or robots. Every time a piece of clothing comes apart at the seams, not from wear and tear but from shoddy craftsmanship, we are reminded of how little robots care about their work. We spend our money on products counting on them to last, buying someone else's labor of love from them... or at least that is what we try to do.
