California Customers - Prop 65
Dear California Customer of Peepers® Reading Glasses,
“Prop 65” is a California state environmental law requiring that a warning be provided by anyone who in the course of doing business in California exposes individuals to a chemical that California has placed on its regulated list. Bisphenol A (BpA) was recently added to this list.
Peepers by PeeperSpecs uses polycarbonate plastic in its products, and trace amounts of BpA exist in polycarbonate. While the risk of exposure to BpA due to contact with our polycarbonate products is extremely remote given the miniscule levels present in our products, Peepers by PeeperSpecs is electing to post the following state-approved warning for all of its products sold in California that contain BpA, effective immediately:
“WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm”.

Distortion Free Lenses
All of our readers offer aspheric lenses which are great for a couple reasons. Here’s why you should care:
• First off, these are much flatter than your traditional curved lens which creates less distortion while reading. Less distortion equals less eye fatigue translating into happier eyes!
• They are also thin and light weight which means added comfort while wearing for long periods of time.
• Lastly, because they are thin they are more ascetically appealing, especially when you begin graduating into those higher strengths! No more coke bottles pretending to be lenses here!
Polycarbonate Frame
We use polycarbonate for the majority of our frames for its versatility and durability. This type of plastic allows us to use multiple types of color treatments creating the hundreds of different looks and frame shapes you’ll find on our site. Being that it is also extremely light weight and high impact resistant gives our customers a long lasting, durable pair of glasses.
Dual Anti-Scratch Coating
All of our lenses have an anti-scratch hard coated treatment on both sides of the lens (hence why we say dual). They are dipped into the solution which ensures an equal amount is applied to both sides. One more way we ensure our lenses stand up to daily wear and tear.
Spring Hinges
We offer spring hinges for added comfort and durability. The hinge is actually spring loaded and helps reduce the amount of pressure applied to your head and the frame.
UV360 Protection
All of our lenses offer UV360 protection. This allows us to block the most harmful UV light from your eyes without any tint
at all!
