Peepers for Teachers | End of Year DonorChoose Efforts
Peepers for Teachers is one of several initiatives at Peepers that give back to our community. We think it’s so important to contribute by donating time and resources to those around us. Since launching Peepers for Teachers, we’ve proudly donated needed supplies to teachers and classrooms across America. Even better, we’ve partnered with our customers to raise funds by donating proceeds from select sales to the Peepers for Teachers fund, collectively raising over $41,000 to date.
Ms. Hale's DonorsChoose Wish List
In November of this year we funded Ms. Hale’s music room wish list from South Central Elementary. Ms. Hale won our DonorChoose teacher of the month! We donated things like hands-on learning experiences, puppets and an interactive rug to her classroom. Here’s what Ms. Hale had to say about her style of teaching:
“My style of teaching has always leaned toward play, imagination, creativity and risk-taking. My students love the authentic, hands-on learning experiences I provide, such as the instrument building unit I did with older students. Their instruments were made from mostly found and recycled items, and they worked!”
We’re so thrilled to be able to make a difference in Ms. Hale’s classroom. Congrats!
Ms. Patternson & Ms. Jones Win DonorChoose Donation!
In December Peepers for Teachers randomly chose one new teacher to fund their entire classroom wish list of more than $800 of materials, along with donating a $500 gift card. Ms. Patterson from Pine Elementary School in Michigan City, IN was chosen as the winner! We’re elated to get her started in their teaching career. Included in Ms. Patterson’s classroom wish list were educational games, sharpies and flair pens, fidget toys and classroom décor.
In addition to Ms. Patterson’s donation, we also were able to fund some items from a shared teacher’s list as well! Ms. Jones received bean bag chairs, camping chairs, educational games and classroom décor too!
